RSPCA Annual Dog Show – A Pawfect Afternoon!

The RSPCA Coventry and District Branch held their Annual Dog Show at the War Memorial Park in Coventry on Sunday 18th August 2019. Visitors to the show had an array of stands to visit, including craft stalls, gifts for dogs and refreshments.

Starbucks very generously came along with free tea and coffee for the visitors and Trophy Pet Foods kindly donated goody bags for the dogs participating in the show.

A fun filled and sunny afternoon, where there were over 350 entrants to the Dog Show, which consisted of 12 classes, including ‘The Coolest Pup’, ‘The Best Six Legs (dog and owner)’ and many more. The picture shows the entrants to the ‘Best in Show’, each of which were the overall winners of each class.

The RSPCA Coventry and District Branch is a charity which is separately funded from the National RSPCA. The centre rehomes over 600 animals a year. It cares for mistreated and abandoned animals in the Coventry and District region and it costs £35,000 per month to keep the centre open.

The centre relies on the good faith and support of the local Coventry and District community and they would like to thank all of the members of the Coventry and District region who came along and supported the event, especially all of our four-legged friends who, without them, they wouldn’t have a show!

Please look out for details of the 2020 RSPCA Dog Show, which will be released shortly, along with information on how you can get involved.
