Mary Ann Evans Classic Transport Festival Returns This August!

Our Classic Transport Festival returns on Sunday 18th August 2019 and is set to be even bigger and better than ever!

The Mary Ann Evans Hospice is working in conjunction with the NBBC, Katz Dancewear and Morton’s Vintage Hire once again to deliver a fabulous day for all the family in Nuneaton Town Centre. We have a classic vehicle display, street food, entertainment, and much more. Last year’s event proved to be a roaring success as the Town Centre came alive with over 150 vehicles taking part in the event overall. Hundreds of locals also filled the streets of the Town Centre viewing the Classic Vehicles on display and welcoming the rally participants as they arrived into the town.

Debra June & The Rockin’ Tunes, a dynamic six piece Rock n Roll band featuring Sax, Boogie Woogie piano, Double Bass, Guitars and Drums with male & female vocals and harmonies, will be entertaining throughout the day. The band will be performing sensational songs from the 1950’s with music from DJ Howling Wolf in between sets! Anker Radio will also have stations throughout the town keeping all spectators up to date with announcements and interviewing vehicle owners.

Magic Matt Redmond will also be entertaining families with stilt walking, a magic show and balloon modelling! Sponsors of the event so far include Weston Hall, with each participant of the Static Display & Car Rally receiving a voucher for a free individual pizza. The event is open to all classic and sports cars, motorbikes and commercial vehicles.

Classic Static Display: £5 per vehicle including commemorative badge. Cars to be parked in Nuneaton Town Centre by 11am. Classic Rally: £15 per vehicle including tea or coffee, two bacon rolls, commemorative badge & rally plaque. Extra bacon rolls available to order on booking. Entrants to meet at the Mary Ann Evans Hospice at 9.30am for refreshments and registration. A 40 mile route is new to this year’s car rally. Vehicles booked onto the 40 mile rally will leave at 10.15am on the scenic route, finishing in Nuneaton Town Centre, joining the Static Display.

Vehicles must be able to stay parked in the town centre until the event finishes at 3.30pm due to health & safety reasons. Please keep this in mind before booking to participate in the event.

Come along as a spectator and enjoy the fun for free and support Mary Ann Evans Hospice.
