Coventry Businesswoman Raises Money for Zoe’s Place Baby Hospice
Coventry based MONAT Market Partner, Holly Wyer, went above and beyond when she organised, and took part in, a charity fundraiser recently as part of the global companies, MONAT Gratitude movement.
Holly, along with partner Lee Wyer, a former Royal Marines Corporal, organised the ultimate challenge to raise money for children’s charity Zoe’s Place Baby Hospice – a hospice that provides palliative care for poorly babies and young children. The Royal Marines Commando Challenge tested participants not only physically but also put them through their paces mentally ensuring the ultimate all over body workout.
The gruelling challenge saw a mixture of MONAT market partners, VIP MONAT customers and family and friends of Holly’s get sweaty and muddy for the great cause with each person pledging £20 to take part. Extra money was made through Holly’s own Virgin Money Giving page where other generous donations were made.
Zoe’s Place Baby Hospice is a charity that Holly holds close to her heart after regularly organising fundraising events for the hospice, including mountain climbs and half marathons.
Holly said, “The money raised will cover around 16 hours of care for a poorly baby and provide some much-needed support and respite for their parents. Zoe’s Place is a charity that I will continue to support and raise awareness for and I’m already planning events and fundraisers for 2020.”
Ros Simmons, Managing Director UK & EU of MONAT concludes, “We’re very proud of the culture of gratitude and giving back at MONAT, which has been baked into our brand’s precious recipe since day one. In an effort to treat everyone like family, and help them discover beautiful lives inside and out, we share our time, our energy and our resources with our local communities and we love that our Market Partners like Holly are proactively supporting local charities like Zoe’s Place Baby Hospice.”
