Earlsdon Festival Needs You!
Can you spare a couple of hours on Monday 6th May? If so, Earlsdon Festival is on the lookout for volunteer stewards to help marshall the road closure barriers between 6am and 6pm. No experience necessary, just a friendly disposition and must be 16+. Pop an email to email@example.com if you can help.
Last year’s festival raised a small amount of surplus money which has been donated to Friends of Spencer Park, Coventry Samaritans, Coventry Resource Centre for the Blind and The Friends of Canley Ford. Additionally, 84.3kg of food was purchased and donated to Coventry Foodbank to help support the vital work they do in the city.
This year the festival will be promoting the Earlsdon Carnegie Community Library, which becomes fully volunteer led in April. Any surplus money generated by the festival will be donated to the library and it will feature in all of the festival’s promotional material.
The “festival fringe” this year begins on Sunday 28th April with a quiz at the Albany Social Club, which is being organised by South Earlsdon Neighbourhood Association. This will be in aid of the library and will include a hilarious “name that tune” round, featuring audience participation and kazoos! Special book themed cupcakes made by the talented Miss Ellie’s of Coventry will also be on sale as the community comes together to support the library. The fun starts at 3pm and it’s £5 per team of 4-6 people. Register your team in advance by emailing Jo at firstname.lastname@example.org.
