What’s Happening at Kenilworth Town Council?
Thank you to Kenilworth In Bloom for the summer flower displays which are now being replaced with our winter planting so that we can look forward to some colour in the dark winter days ahead. In between we have had a brief opportunity to see the new planters provided by the Council last year.
Congratulations to Kenilworth Round Table for another fantastic Firework Festival. This annual event not only provides wonderful entertainment for the town and the surrounding area but also allows the Round Table to raise large sums to fund its support of many charities and good works.
The installation of our Christmas lights displays will be completed in November ready for our Christmas Lights Weekend which commences in the High Street on Friday 29th November and culminates with the main town switch-on in Abbey End on Sunday evening. That weekend also hosts the Mayor’s Christmas Shop Window Competition, the Chamber of Trade’s Buy a Christmas Present in Town promotion and a Christmas Market in Talisman Square coupled with free parking on Saturday.
As usual everyone is invited to join the Mayor at the Castle on Boxing Day morning to see the Morris Dancers and enjoy a breath of fresh air before going on to the Lions famous Duck Race in Abbey Fields.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone!
