MINI Countryman vs Skoda Yeti by James Baggott, Author, Car Dealer Magazine

All MINIs have a distinctive and instantly recognisable look to them, and with the Countryman range, it carries this identifiable image into a stockier frame to give you more space and practicality.

The stylish bodywork helps to make the Countryman a tantalising option in the CUV sector and with great additions and features to match, it’s difficult to see why you wouldn’t choose it. […]

It’s the dreaded question that anyone even remotely connected to cars fears more than any other: what’s your favourite car? But finally I might have the answer: the Range Rover. Not the Sport or the Evoque but the good old fashioned, full fat Rangie. […]

The Fiat 500, Re-mastering an Icon by Iain Betson

Fiat’s whizzy runabout may have had a facelift but it still has bags of retro-chic.

I heard it first-hand that some weeks the 500 is the only car Fiat dealers sell, and at other times it outsells all other models in their range combined. But who’s surprised really? Since its launch in 2007, Fiat have made 1.5 million 500s. And the reason is it’s simply a fun car to drive. […]

BMW X1 by James Baggott

What is it?

This is the totally revised BMW X1. Gone are the weird looks of the last model and in comes a fresh, chunky design that makes it look like a shrink-wrapped X5, but in a good way. One in 10 BMWs sold was an X1 at the height of its success and it was continually in the top three most popular cars sold by the manufacturer, so this new model has a lot to live up to. Aimed at “young, sporty” buyers, the maker believes this is a lifestyle vehicle that can be used every day. […]

Auto Biographies – New Mitsubishi Shogun by Tim Barnes-Clay www.carwriteups.co.uk @carwriteups

In 1982 Mitsubishi Motors Corporation launched a brand new breed of vehicle: a 4×4 which was tough enough to go where others feared to tread, yet enjoyed the sort of sophisticated specification more normally associated with top end saloons. More than thirty years later the Shogun is a living legend. […]

Mini Magic for Myton Hospice 2015

Best buddies, Mark Evans and Steve Heard are embarking on another motoring tour to raise funds for charity.

This time, the charity motoring tour is particularly poignant for Mark, as his wife Amanda Evans sadly passed away in November 2013 from breast cancer at the age of 44 at Myton Hospice in Warwick. It has been a very emotional time for Mark and their girls, family and friends. Amanda was cared for at Myton Hospice who made tremendous efforts to ease Amanda’s pain and support the family through an extremely difficult time. This trip is dedicated to Amanda with all proceeds going to Myton Hospice.
